History of Harold D. Elliott
Pyramid No. 1

Sciotry is alive and well today in New Jersey, due to the untiring efforts of our eminent and prestigious Charter Toparch, Harold D. Elliott, 2nd. The Pyramid was Officially instituted by the Officers of the Supreme Pyramid A.E.O.S. in Mantua, New Jersey on Saturday, October 30th, 1993.

Mantua is a small, quiet town with tree-lined streets, located in the central part of Southern New Jersey. There were 100 petitions presented by Masons desiring to become Charter Members of this fledgling organization. This endeavor was without precedent and will be remembered for many, many years. The Supreme Pyramid Officers remarked that this was the largest class to be initiated in many years! This newly formed Pyramid was created without any setbacks or interruptions, through the excellent cooperation and assistance of Don Pierce, P.P. and Supreme Scribe.

On June 29, 1994 Our Pyramid conducted its first Ceremonial in full form, (complete and unabridged), with all Officers performing the Ritual by memory! Another sight to behold.......thirty-seven additional Masons were initiated into the newly formed Pyramid!

From the start, our Line Officers, as well as a large portion of the general membership, are qualified ritualists, which has permitted us to visit Blue Lodges and other appendant bodies, offering presentations of Masonic and Colonial Heritage, and also an informal description of the aims and purposes of the Sciots.

We have repeatedly been admonished that our Beliefs, Objects and Aims are to Boost One Another! It is with this reasoning in mind, that we attend these bodies, and tender our message and related offerings, in an effort to stimulate the minds and hearts of our Brothers, and thus reminding them of our Masonic Heritage.

Enthusiasm has continued at a very high level, and we have expanded our visits to the Veterans Hospital and Home here in New Jersey. Our drama group has formed, and portrayed several short plays, both in and out of our State. We expect to form a Degree Team in the near future, to assist Blue Lodges with Ritual work, whenever it is requested. We publish a newsletter which is known as the "SCIOS ORACLE", and is available to all members.

We anticipate that our membership will surpass the 300 mark in the year of 1999.
